Milan Lackovič won gold at the European Indoor Rowing Championship 2018

The European Indoor Rowing Championships for 2018 were held in Amsterdam, Holland on 9th December 2017.

In the combined adaptive category LTA physically disabled athletes, Slovakia was represented by our best athlete, visually impaired Milan Lackovič from Prievidza. In this category 23 competitors from Hungary, Poland, France, Netherlands, Russia, Lithuania, Belarus and Slovakia participated in the championship.

The change in these championships was the length of the racing distance, when the athletes instead of the previous 1000 m had to row 2000 m. Milan proved that even this change is not an obstacle for him on his way to victory. He showed everyone a thrilling duel with Polish athlete Krzysztof Pikulski, who held the first place throughout the race, but Milan had more strength in the last 100 meters and overtaken him. He finished in 1st place with time 06: 35,0.

Milan again proved he is in the great shape and he added to his collection the fourth gold medal from the European Indoor Rowing Championship.

Congratulations!
