CrossFit Redoubt Summer Challenge 2016

On August 13, 2016 (Saturday) the second year of CrossFit Redoubt Summer Challenge took place in Nové Zámky, Slovakia. Compared to last year´s event, the individuals could also enter the competition in addition to the teams.

The individual workouts were created by the organizer Michal Kiss and he consulted them with the other experts. There was everything the contestants could wish for.

And what did one of the contestants thought about these workouts? ""I liked the workouts at first glance. It was pure classic CrossFit, no fancy nonsense. Every WOD had its charm, there was a swimming WOD, strength WOD, a demanding workout with weight vest and last but not least a nutritious finals," praised Czech contestant Monika Tatíčková.

Let´s recall what they were dealing with:

WOD 1
2 Rounds for Time

  • 50 m swimming
  • 10 squats with bag 50 kg / 30 kg
  • 10 hand release burpees over the bag
  • 50 m swimming

WOD 2 - find maximum for complex
Time limit 6 minutes

  • 1 squat clean
  • 1 hang squat clean from knees
  • 1 jerk

WOD 3
Time limit 12 minutes

  • with weight vest 10 kg / 6 kg
  • buy in 750 m row
  • 10 over head squats 60 kg / 40 kg
  • 20 pull-ups
  • 50 double unders
  • 20 toes to bars
  • 10 over head squats 60 kg / 40 kg
  • buy out 750 m row

Finals

time limit 20 minutes

A:

1 rep max deadlift in 5 minutes

1 minute rest

B:
3 rounds

1 round 150 m run with bag 50 kg / 30 kg

15 ring muscle-ups

20 m handstand walk
